Overview

  • GPXpress is an app to import and view GPX files.
  • We respect user privacy and protect all information handled by the app.

Data Collection

  • No personal data (name, email, contacts) is collected.
  • Third-party libraries may access technical/anonymous data:
    • AsyncStorage → local preferences
    • Documents Picker → access GPX files (with user permission)
    • Mapbox → location data (if enabled)
    • Google Mobile Ads → anonymous device ID, usage data
    • Vexo Analytics → anonymous usage statistics

Location Data

  • Used only to show user position on the map.
  • Not stored or transmitted externally.

File Access

  • GPX files accessed locally on device.
  • Never uploaded or shared externally.

Analytics & Ads

  • Vexo Analytics and Google Mobile Ads used.
  • Data collected is anonymous and non-identifiable.

Data Security

  • Local data stored securely via AsyncStorage.
  • No external server storage.

Permissions

  • READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE → open GPX files
  • ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION → show user location
  • INTERNET → load maps and ads

Third-Party Services

Data Retention

  • Local preferences and last opened GPX files stored on device.
  • Can be deleted by clearing cache or uninstalling app.
